Children, parents or grandparents, everyone is invited to meet the 250 residents from all around the world who call the Fréjus Zoo their home! Just a few minutes from our campsites on the Côte d’Azur, the largest zoo in the Var welcomes you to enjoy a very special moment in the midst of its lush green setting so typical of the Mediterranean.

And when you’re not on the beach, at the Fréjus Zoo or off hiking on the Esterel Massif, enjoy the good life in our 4 and 5 star campsites: heated swimming pools and whirlpool baths for relaxation, sports grounds for a great work out in the open air, children’s activities and entertaining evenings to have a really amazing time... The programme is yours to decide but one thing is certain, it will always be full of fun! The scene is set, now all you have to do is find your accommodation: cottage, lodge or vast camping pitch and you’re all ready for a holiday en tête-à-tête with the Mediterranean!

Not content with simply presenting some 110 animal species within its 20 hectares of green space, the Fréjus Zoo also runs educational workshops open to all but especially intended for families. So, ready to slip into the shoes of a veritable zoo keeper?

Feeding the animals, giving medical care but also plenty of fun activities, you’ll have an opportunity to discover all the different aspects of zoo life to get to know the animals better. Open to the public at weekends and every day during the school holidays, the educational activities are sometimes victims of their own success... So remember to book! Fully pedestrianised, the zoo beckons you to wander gently hand-in-hand as you discover its remarkable animals. So come and meet the chimpanzees with their expressions so surprisingly similar to ours, the fennecs with their shimmering fur, the roaring lions or the faithful macaws, always at their partner’s side. And of course, the keepers are there to quench your thirst for knowledge!
