Near the ocean shore, your campsite makes the perfect base to explore La Roche-sur-Yon, ideally situated half-way between the beaches and the Puy du Fou theme park. On foot or by bike, you’ll be able to visit some of its most iconic spots, such as the National Stud and its vast park in the centre of the town, the Italian-style theatre, the numerous basilicas and the markets selling fresh produce plus, of course, the famous Place Napoleon!

The “Sentier du Néflier” footpath that flirts with the Marais Poitevin to the south or the circular trail around the Moulin Papon lake to the north; nature is never far from the town centre in La Roche-sur-Yon. The riverbank, amidst the patchwork of fields and copses that make up the lower Vendée bocage, makes the perfect spot for a delicious picnic. Take your time to soak up all the tranquillity of this idyllic setting, before heading back towards the campsite!
