Visit the Centre-Val de Loire with the family
Ready for an epic family adventure as you conquer the greatest of the Loire châteaux? First step: Chambord, considered the king of châteaux and emblem of the Renaissance, it was the brainchild of François I. Then it’s time to head for Blois and its Royal Château, waiting to reveal all the secrets of the French court. In the summer, come and watch the impressive fencing displays, balls and concerts that vibrantly bring the château back to life!
South of the city, it’s the turn of the Château de Cheverny to recount its story. Everyone knows the Adventures of Tintin... but will the kids notice that the château here bears more than a passing resemblance to the Château de Moulinsart! And then there’s the maze at the Château de Villandry near Tours, perfect to awaken their taste for mystery and adventure...
Visit the Centre-Val de Loire as a couple
The Centre-Val de Loire counts a host of towns and villages steeped in character and perfect for a gentle stroll hand-in-hand. Or take the Loire à Vélo cycle trail and head off towards Tours to explore the prettiest corners of the city, once the capital of France. Take a break in Place Plumereau to sip a glass of wine as you admire the superb half-timbered houses!
