Corsica has two emblematic nuts, the chestnut and the hazelnut. And to celebrate the hazelnut, the town of Cervione in Haute-Corse holds a special fair every August.
The Hazelnut Fair is a chance to find out more about this lovely little nut which lends itself to an array of uses, from the classic spread to oil and “salinu”, a condiment made from coarse salt and hazelnut fragments. Come along to learn more about how this star product can be put to use in our kitchens. And make sure you sample the products on offer!
