Plunge headlong into a discovery of Walloon culture when you visit Arlon in the province of Luxembourg! Your Sandaya campsite is located very close to the Belgian Ardennes and the town of Arlon is only a few kilometres away, not far from the Luxembourg border. In Arlon the rich heritage of the town can be seen in many different features: Gallo-Roman ruins that you can discover with your family in the archaeological museum of Arlon, old stones that line the little lanes of the historic town centre, bucolic valleys surrounding the town or the typical local products of the Walloon region.
When in Arlon, you must try some “Maitrank” (“May drink”) that replaces white wine on the tables of the local restaurants! And within your Sandaya campsite there are lots of festivities that enable you to take advantage of your holiday every moment of the day. After a late breakfast you can enjoy an outdoor sports session on the tennis courts or the beach volleyball pitch on the campsite. Perhaps you prefer swimming? Then you can plunge into the pool of the aquatic park, an aquafun area has also been specially designated for children! Do you feel like discovering the wooded landscapes all around? Put together your picnic with items from the campsite’s mini supermarket and head off on foot or by bike along the trails in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes! In the immediate vicinity of the campsite are the cool banks of the river Lomme where you will want to stop a while with your feet in the water, take a welcome nap or enjoy some relaxing fishing.
