Camping Firework Festival in Cannes

It’s become an unmissable Cannes tradition. Since 1967, the town has delighted in putting stars in the eyes of every spectator, from youngest to oldest. Each summer, the world’s greatest pyrotechnicians do battle to win the silver prize, the “Vestale d’Argent”, whilst they can only compete for the gold prize, the “Vestale d’Or”, every 4 years. Their mission: to deliver the most amazing firework display in the sublime Bay of Cannes.

So, for 3 evenings in July and 3 evenings in August, the sky above Cannes becomes a dazzling spectacle of every colour and shape, reflected in the eyes of the 100,000 awestruck spectators. The jury may have the heavy burden of designating the winner, but the public can also vote for their favourite pyrotechnician who will be awarded a special audience prize.
