Visit Bourges with the family
After a great breakfast at the campsite, it’s time to head for Bourges and a day rich in discoveries! One spot you really must visit during your trip: Place Gordaine and its lively terraces. It also opens the door to the unmissable Rue Bourbonnoux in the heart of the mediaeval district. The imposing half-timbered houses that line the street never fail to impress even the youngest!
From there it takes only ten minutes to walk to the sublime Marais de Bourges where 135 hectares of gardens and water offer a delightful spot for a stroll. The perfect place to enjoy a picnic with the family!
Visit Bourges as a couple
The best way to spend your time for a romantic visit to Bourges? Simply follow where your footsteps lead you, as you wander through the streets of the town! En-route, you’ll come across some veritable architectural works of art, each bearing witness to the rich history of Bourges at its most flourishing. At the top of the list: Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a Unesco world heritage monument. And yes, it really is worth climbing all 396 steps to the top, to admire the incredible panorama over the town!
On your return to the campsite, enjoy a relaxing bathe in the heated swimming pool, before the enchanting dinner for two that awaits you on the restaurant terrace!

Top tip: visiting the cathedral and the superb Jacques-Cœur palace is free of charge on the first Sunday of every month.
Make visiting the town easy on the legs, hop aboard the little land train that wends its way through the historic centre!
From June to September, join in the Nuits Lumière and admire the sublime light shows projected onto the walls of the town’s monuments!
