Luc-sur-Mer, the ideal holiday destination!

Aaah, Normandy! Its beautiful beaches, its enchanting countryside, its historic monuments and, of course, its delicious cuisine: it’s not surprising that this region is so popular with French and foreign tourists! And this heavenly little corner of France is perfect for your holiday with the family or your special someone.

Perfectly positioned to explore the Calvados coastline, your Sandaya campsite will offer a peaceful retreat with everything you need for a carefree stay. Water park with covered swimming pool and water slides, the beach nearby and free children’s clubs: you can be sure of a happy holiday at Sandaya!

Visit Luc-sur-Mer with the family

On dry land, take your clan for a walk in the Parc de la Baleine. You’ll enjoy the pleasant stroll around the flower-filled, tree-lined park but most importantly, you’ll come across something quite unexpected... the entire skeleton of a whale that ended up beached here in 1885! You can also drop in the Maison de la Baleine, a visitor centre devoted to these large cetaceans.

At sea, the sailing school is the ideal way to bring out the sailor that lies dormant in each of us! There’s certainly a wide offering, with catamarans, windsurfing boards, schooners, kayaks and paddleboats available for hire. Visitors big and small will happily set sail under the Normandy sunshine!

Visit Luc-sur-Mer as a couple

Once you’ve unpacked your bags at the campsite, there’s only one thing you’ll want to do: head straight down to the wonderful beach just a stone’s throw away! Take a refreshing dip in the English Channel then lie back, your toes dipped in the warm sand, and soak up the sun with the lapping of the waves as your soundtrack: let the holiday begin!

And for you lovebirds, the pier at Luc-sur-mer is the perfect spot for a romantic interlude, just the two of you. It offers a lovely view of the Côte de Nacre coastline and its romantic setting beside the sea is ideal for a wander with your loved one, especially as the sun goes down. Don’t forget your camera!

Indulge your gambling instincts at the town’s casino on the sea front. Whether you opt for blackjack, roulette or the slot machines, you might just hit the jackpot!

Caen, the capital of Normandy, is just a 30-minute drive away. Spend a day there, visit the castle and museum, and wander through its medieval streets.
