Mimizan, the ideal holiday destination!

Set slightly inland from the ocean it’s perfect for learning to swim! Fancy going green? Head off along the innumerable cycle tracks that wend their way through the Mimizan forest. Far from the hustle and bustle of the town, enjoy the bliss of a deep breath of pure fresh air! As you return to Mimizan itself, stop off to enjoy some freshly-made chouchous, the perfect sweet treat for the holidays.

In Mimizan you won’t be able to help falling in love with its glorious setting, surrounded by the unspoilt nature of the Landes. And since you’re travelling en tête-à-tête, here’s a little voyage of discovery tailor-made for two!

With the sun high overhead, grab your swimsuits and head off to the Lespecier beach, just south of Mimizan. It’s the wildest in the area! Then set your heading for the Aureilhan Lake and a stroll along its famous “Floral Walk”, heady with scent. Following the lakeshore, this footpath is bordered by no less than 300 varieties of flowering plants: a truly fairy-tale décor. Finally, explore the pedestrianised streets of Mimizan Plage when it’s time for dinner. How about a plate of traditional Landes specialities?
