Riverside campsite : book your stay

Our riverside campsites

Gentle water, warm sunshine and enough white water sports to satisfy any adrenaline junkie... A holiday by the river has all the advantages of a stay washed by the ocean waves!

Far from the overcrowded beaches of the seaside in high season, come with all your favourite campers and settle yourselves on a riverbank pitch or in the comfort of a spacious fully-equipped mobile home. The decor is lush and green, the air pure and the atmosphere peaceful: the ideal setting to combine relaxation and activities in the heart of nature! A romantic excursion along the Loire, a family trip down the Verdon by canoe-kayak, or a spot of fly fishing on the River Lomme there’s nothing better than a return to our watery origins to soothe both body and mind.

In fact, if you’re a keen angler, don’t hesitate to bring your equipment with you: our campsites with their own fishing lake mean that you’ll be able to make the most of your favourite activity as often as you like! But to enjoy it at its best don’t forget you’ll need a fishing licence, and that it’s “catch and release” only. Here’s hoping the fish will be biting... happy angling!

And for any camper who tends to feel the cold, simply swap the water of the river for that of the heated swimming pools of our water parks: sliding, swimming or relaxing, to each their own. Here everything is possible!

Our great ideas for your campsite holiday

Kayaking, rafting, SUP or canyoning, you’ll soon be a past master at all the white water sports!

You prefer a good hike? Set off to conquer the footpaths that follow the river as you explore a whole new world!

After bathing it’s time for sport! Football, basketball or beach volleyball, come and enjoy a knockabout on the campsite’s multisports ground.

A stay rich in adventure, but tailor-made for you! You can rely on our personalised services and activities to make your stay absolutely perfect.

Top reasons to visit our riverside campsites

Riverside campsites in France are ideal for holidays that bring you closer to nature. Come and discover the Verdon Gorge and its turquoise blue waters in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the majestic cliffs of the Ardèche or maybe the Aveyron, which has managed to retain its natural character

  • Le Soleil Vivarais 5-star campsite in the Ardèche: Located near Vallon-Pont-d’Arc and the Ardèche Gorges, this campsite offers direct access to the river. Set in 14 hectares of lush greenery, you’ll love its 2 water parks with heated swimming pools, slides, hot tubs and spa area.
  • Les Jardins de Privas 4-star campsite in Ardèche: Enjoy the best of nature at this wooded campsite covering nearly 6 hectares, close to the Payre greenway – ideal for cycling – and the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park. After a little exercise, head for the water park with its indoor heated swimming pool with slide and paddling pool for babies
  • La Roubine 5-star campsite in the Ardèche: This campsite has its own private beach with direct access to the river. After a swim in the refreshing river water, why not visit the aquatic centre with its outdoor pool and paddling pool.
  • Les Rivages 4-star campsite in Aveyron: This campsite, nestled in the heart of the Grands Causses Nature Park, offers direct access to the River Dourbie. You can also enjoy the swimming area with its heated pool, water slides and hot tubs.
  • Domaine du Verdon 5-star campsite in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence: Guests will be delighted to hear that the river flows through the middle of the campsite. You can enjoy the Provence sunshine in its two water parks, which feature swimming pools, an infinity pool, lagoon river, whirlpools and slides.

At many of our riverside campsites, you can enrol your children in clubs that organise free activities. Meanwhile, older children can take part in sports tournaments on a range of multi-sports pitches. After all these activities, families will have plenty of opportunity to meet up for a drink at the bar or delicious meal at the restaurant.

Booking a stay at a riverside campsite gives you direct access to the river so you can enjoy wild swimming and all the water sports on offer. Is the river water a little on the cool side for your liking? Then head for the water park with its heated swimming pools – but that’s not all. The water park also has:

  • slides
  • fun paddling pool for babies
  • lagoon river
  • infinity pool
  • sun terrace
  • water activities
  • spa area with hammam
  • multi-sports pitches
  • kids’ play areas
  • Koolaya Land bouncy castle…

Absolutely! That’s one of the advantages of campsites by the riverside. Along the riverbanks, you’ll find hire centres and departure points for canoe trips, so you can set off directly from the campsite without needing to use your car.

Pebble or sandy beaches have been created along the riverbanks for easier access to the water so you can enjoy the area for a picnic or spot of sunbathing.

Riverside campsites are an excellent choice for a wonderful family holiday. Children can discover nature, the riverbanks and all the joys of the water in complete safety. Learning to skip stones, watching fish, swimming in natural waters – new discoveries they’ll be passionate about! And to help them make new friends their own age, sign them up for the kids’ club. Passionate professionals look after them and offer a wide range of free activities, such as games, workshops, sports tournaments and more.

Yes! Whether you’re a casual angler or seasoned fisherman, don’t forget your fishing permit! Whether from your pitch or a jetty on the riverbank, you can enjoy your favourite sport with a ‘No Kill’ approach. You’ll love this peaceful spot, where the water quality is classified as Category 1 or 2, depending on the river at the campsite where you’re fishing.
