So, you’ve arrived for your holiday in Fréjus in the Var and your sole aim is to embrace the noble art of doing nothing, lazing on the region’s gorgeous beaches! To help you out, we’ve put together a (fairly!) objective list of the finest beaches in Fréjus for families, couples… and everyone else! Let’s explore them together!
Les Sablettes beach
Les Sablettes beach is one of the finest on the Côte d’Azur (really!) and offers a dream setting with its white sand, crystal-clear waters and stunning views of the bay. With the family or just the two of you, a day out at Les Sablettes beach is a highlight of any holiday in Fréjus.
La République beach
Next to Les Sablettes beach and lined with cafés, restaurants and shops, La République beach is the perfect spot for some sunbathing, swimming and savouring the leisurely pace of life in the Var. It also offers a wonderful view of Notre-Dame de la Victoire de Lépante Basilica, one of the most emblematic landmarks of neighbouring Saint-Raphaël.
The beach at the Base Nature François Léotard leisure park
On the edge of a 135-hectare protected area, the leisure park beach is perfect for anyone keen to remain at one with nature while relishing all the joys of the water. Come and spread out your beach towel, relax and admire the beauty of the Mediterranean!
Saint-Aygulf beach
Stretching almost 800 metres long, Saint-Aygulf beach is one of the largest in the area. Here, kitesurfing and windsurfing enthusiasts will be in their element. If you want to conquer the Mediterranean waves, you know where to go!
The creeks and calanques around Fréjus
La Galiote beach
The ultimate family beach, La Galiote will thrill visitors big and small. This fine sandy beach is supervised in summer and there’s a car park nearby (handy if your gang has a lot of beach stuff to carry!). It’s surrounded by snack bars and playgrounds for your children. All that’s missing is you and your beach towel!
Le Petit Boucharel beach
Let’s head south from Saint-Aygulf to discover the next beach on our list for a holiday in Fréjus: Le Petit Boucharel beach. And why here? It’s a small, peaceful cove with white sand, easy to reach on foot and mainly frequented by locals. Enjoy a refreshing swim in a magical setting!
The Calanque des Anglais
Located in Saint-Raphaël, just a 10-15 minute drive from Fréjus, the Calanque des Anglais is well worth the trip. It’s reached via a hidden path from the Corniche d’Or road and offers an idyllic, unspoilt setting where the brilliant blues of the crystal-clear waters contrast with flamboyant red rocks characteristic of the Esterel massif. Magical!
