Camping Bayeux Mediaeval Festival

Each year in the month of July, the town of Bayeux in Normandy whisks us away on a veritable journey down the ages during its renowned medieval festivities. And it’s the whole town that is metamorphosed to immerse everyone in the heart of the Middle Ages, the era that shaped the town of William the Conqueror.

For the occasion, troubadours, knights and minstrels invite you to join them during dozens of fascinating events organised throughout the town: medieval market at the foot of the cathedral, book fair, street artists and family entertainment... And the highlight of this outstanding event? The grand parade that brings together 500 participants all dressed to the nines, in medieval costume of course! An opportunity to discover the incredible heritage of Bayeux and take a look at its famous tapestry, between two bouts of jousting!
