Visit Brantôme with the family
After a cosy night at your campsite, it’s the moment to head for the market in Brantôme or Périgueux to stock up on all those delicious Périgord specialities. What better than a picnic with local strawberries, walnuts, truffles and foie gras as you relax by the water’s edge! On the right-hand bank of the Dronne, don’t forget to take a look at the Peyrelevade dolmen only 1km from the town centre. A spot that’s certain to delight your little campers!
Visit Brantôme as a couple
One of the most unmissable sites in Brantôme and perfect for a visit hand-in-hand, the famous Benedictine abbey was founded by Charlemagne himself! Its bell tower, dating from the 11th century, is one of the oldest in France! A listed historical monument, it promises a memorable leap back into the past.
Then it’s time to board the “Drona”, an electric boat that offers an opportunity to explore Brantôme from down on the water.
