Bretignolles-sur-Mer, the ideal holiday destination!

If campers so appreciate spending summer in the Vendée, it’s no doubt for its landscapes coloured in every shade of green and blue: ocean, rivers, marshes... So it’s easy to understand the motto chosen by Bretignolles-sur-Mer “Live the sea in the countryside”. In this pretty seaside resort on the Côte de Lumière, cycles and surfboards rule. Now it’s your turn to enjoy endless trips along the seashore and lessons with the family to practice your favourite boardsport. Offer your holiday its most beautiful backdrop ever, here at Bretignolles-sur-Mer!

First stop during your stay in the Vendée, your Sandaya campsite, where a comfortable mobile home or a camping pitch under the stars await but you. If the Vendée counts a host of fascinating places to visit, you’ll also be able to make the most of the campsite for a break between your trips out and about: bathing in the water park with its swimming pools and waterslides, enjoying outdoor sports sessions or dinner on the terrace, all you have to do is ask!

Visit Bretignolles-sur-Mer with the family

Lively or peaceful, a hotspot for surfing or a haven for shellfish gathering... In Bretignolles-sur-Mer each beach has its own speciality! For a delightful day with the family, we particularly recommend the La Normandelière beach. A watersports centre is open throughout the summer offering lessons for the sailing sport of your choice.

In the town itself, why not head off to discover the enchanting Vendée Miniature museum? Home to a typical Vendée village built to 1/10th scale and entirely handmade, kids in particular always adore it! Surprisingly realistic, it represents life and work in the 1900s. On your return to the campsite, it’s time for limitless relaxation in our heated swimming pools: you’ve certainly earned it.

Visit Bretignolles-sur-Mer as a couple

If you’re setting out to explore Bretignolles-sur-Mer with your favourite other, we have the ideal programme for a romantic excursion à deux. If you love cycling grab your bikes and pedal off on the 8km circuit of the Boucle de la Parée as you follow the Vendée coast, your hair blowing in the wind!

After a break to sample the local seafood, washed down by a glass of Brem wine, head towards Givrand just north of Bretignolles-sur-Mer for an excursion down on the water. Here you can hire a canoe or SUP to paddle your way along the Le Jaunay river with its typical Vendée scenery! Finally, take a trip to the Château de Beaumarchais and its wonderful fairy-tale décor.
