Famous for its coastline of fine sand, there are many beaches here and all sorts of activities to enjoy. To try your hand at paddleboarding, canoeing or sand yachting with the family, head for the watersports centre on Centrale beach. And if the kids are still too little, then you can simply enjoy bathing… in the sunshine!
If you're after mixing useful and pleasant things together, then take the kids to learn some stuff while they have fun at Biotopia, a destination that's given over to discoveries and experiments involving nature. Shows, walks, entertainment and the scenery of Notre-Dame-de-Monts will reveal their all to you! Finally, you can round off the day at the Jardin du Vent, a quirky location that's perfect for people of all ages.
Visit Notre-Dame-de-Monts as a couple
If there's one area in which Notre-Dame-de-Monts excels, it's just sauntering around! On foot, by bike or on horseback, there are just so many options when it comes to exploring the diversity of the landscapes up close. Among our favourites are the Sentier de la Dune au Marais, a 5 km round trip leaving from the beach at Pont d’Yeu. During spring tides, you'll also have the pleasure of watching the area reveal itself little-by-little!
Slightly longer is the round trip from the lighthouse to the Pey de la Blet, a panoramic viewpoint from which you can make out the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier, and which is an opportunity to explore a succession of sand dunes, beaches and forest. This is a wonderful route which you should enjoy exclusively with your other half!

One of the town's curiosities is Kulmino, a 70 metre water tower affording panoramic view of the Vendée marshland!
And for more energetic visitors, there is the beach of La Renaudière north of the resort, which can only be reached on foot or by bike!
Or are you a super-keen hiker? Then there's the 11 km forest path to enjoy. The perfect option for getting away from everything and soaking up nature!
