Vogüé, the ideal holiday destination!

With its restored medieval castle, the little houses that cling to one another at the foot of the cliffs, and the hanging gardens offering a palette of blues and greens of outstanding natural beauty, you might think that Vogüé is part of some enchanted world. There is certainly something magical about the Ardèche villages. They are so perfectly timeless and leave a lasting impression on anyone who comes here. Now it’s your turn to fall under the spell!

To visit this magnificent region and its stunning villages, such as Balazuc, also included on the “Most Beautiful Villages in France” list, choose our Sandaya campsite! The first advantage – its geographic situation, set in the midst of 14 hectares of greenery. The second advantage – its services and amenities, specially designed to make your stay a success. With two heated water parks, a spa, free children’s clubs and a whole host of activities on-site and in the local area, we have everything you need for the happiest of holidays. The icing on the cake? Direct access to the river where you can splash around, go fishing or try canoeing!

Visit Vogüé with the family

In the Ardèche, your little swimmers won’t be able to resist the call of the water... and there’s water, water, everywhere! All they’ll want to do is splash around in the river that borders the village. So let them pull on their swimsuits, dab a bit of sun cream on their noses, and dive in! Another water-based family activity is a canoe trip through the Gorges de l’Ardèche. And you’ll be pleased to hear that there are several descents suited to children starting from Vogüé. So no excuses, off you go!

One of the best ways to explore the Ardèche and all it has to offer with the family? On two wheels, of course! On a bicycle, you’ll enjoy complete freedom and will be able to admire one beautiful landscape after another as you pedal along. The Via Ardèche is a 25-kilometre-long greenway that goes to Grospierres. It’s the ideal choice for a completely safe ride through the gorgeous natural scenery of the Ardèche.

Visit Vogüé as a couple

As you explore the village hand in hand with your special someone, look out for Rue des Puces, because it’s quite unique. In fact, it’s the narrowest street in France! It’s so narrow that only one person can walk down it at a time. One to avoid if you’re claustrophobic!

Other gems to be found in the village include the castle and the Roman chapel of Saint Cerice, perched on a cliffside and actually built into the rock. In the castle, you’ll be taken on a fascinating journey through time you won’t forget in a hurry, while from the chapel you’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the castle and village. You’ll come away simply enchanted.
