The Brière Regional Natural Park, an unmissable port of call during your holiday!

On the border between southern Brittany and the Loire-Atlantique, the superb Brière Regional Natural Park shelters an ecosystem that is as precious as it is rare. The second largest area of marshland in France, after the Camargue, its labyrinth of canals beckons you to get far away from the everyday amongst peaceful scenery where nature reigns supreme.

It is in the heart of this vast green area, ideally situated between the Guérande Peninsula and the Gulf of Morbihan, that your comfortable accommodation awaits you. When camping with Sandaya, you’ll find pitches for your tent, caravan or campervan, and fully-equipped mobile homes with private terrace. Kids are coming too? They’ll be blown away by the waterslides and free mini clubs! And as for you, come and enjoy the nearby beach, our sports grounds, excursions out on the ocean waves and a host of delicious discoveries. That’s a holiday with Sandaya!

Visit the Brière Regional Natural Park with the family

This is one landscape you certainly don’t see every day! You’re going to love heading off with the family, in search of the innumerable treasures of the Brière Regional Natural Park. You may have a vast choice of transport, but something tells us that your fledgling campers will adore a carriage ride! And that couldn’t be better; some 700km of trails are open to horses and offer the perfect way to explore every corner of the Park!

After your excursion, it’s time to play naturalists in the Park’s nature reserve: observation hides offer the ideal place to spot the rare birds sheltering between the canals, reed beds and peat bogs. Eyes wide open!

Visit the Brière Regional Natural Park as a couple

What could be more romantic than a picturesque boat trip on the Brière canals! Just the two of you, jump aboard one of the traditional flat-bottomed boats that offer the best way to reach the very heart of the Park. You’ll have all the time you want to lose yourselves in the midst of this fairy-tale landscape, observe its incredible wildlife and simply sit back and dream!

On your return to dry land, head for the stunning village of Kerhinet to admire its traditional thatched cottages. A veritable open-air museum where time seems to have stopped!
