At low tide, let the Passage du Gois open the doors to the island of Noirmoutier, and it won’t be long before Barbâtre comes into view. A landscape that holds all the promise of a wonderful holiday: the vast forest of maritime pines, long beaches of soft fine sand that look out across the ocean and the listed Regional Nature Reserve of the Sébastopol Polder... Amazing scenery that will whisk you away to another world!

Once you’ve settled in, it’s time to hit the water park with its heated and covered swimming pool. Yearning to work off all that pent-up energy, outside in the open air? Head for the tennis or petanque courts, or the free mini clubs for the children. As evening falls, savour a fabulous dinner all together under the stars, at the campsite restaurant.
Visit Barbâtre with the family
Travelling with apprentice water babies? On the island of Noirmoutier, the beaches are never far away! Begin by discovering those of Barbâtre on the west coast, stretching for 7km of glorious sand just next to the campsite. Exactly the spot you’ve been dreaming of and perfect for families where the children can swim, play and surf before starting all over again!
Heading towards Noirmoutier-en-l’Île, the long beaches of fine pale sand give way to sheltered creeks backed by elegant villas dating from the Belle Époque. On foot or by bike, make the most of the sunshine for a trip together to the Bois de la Chaise where the beaches of Les Sableaux and Les Dames promise fabulous afternoons at the water’s edge!
