You will be won over by the sheer tranquillity and beauty of this fascinating environment. You can also discover the Vendée on a small train – another excellent idea for a family outing, and sure to be a hit with your little campers!
Afterwards, head for the Passage du Gois causeway area, where holidaymakers of every age can learn all about fishing on foot, and the related techniques and regulations. After all that excitement, head for one of the superb Vendée beaches where you can splash around, have fun and collect seashells to take home as souvenirs of a lovely family holiday on the Atlantic coast.
Visit Challans as a couple
After a hearty breakfast, set off to explore the area with your partner. Start the day with a stroll in the Parc de la Sablière, a peaceful green haven. The romance then continues with a cycling trip along the Breton-Vendée marshes and towards the Les Demoiselles beach. Stop there to cool off with a well-deserved swim before lying back on the sand for some sunbathing.
