La Turballe, the ideal holiday destination!

Visiting La Turballe in the Loire-Atlantique means immersing yourself in a whole new world: the sea world! Having been a fishing harbour for hundreds of years, La Turballe has retained reminders of its rise associated with sardine fishing: its fishing fleet, auction house and museums etc, all of which bear witness to the town's rich heritage. And there's plenty more to find out about its past too!

Holidays in La Turballe mean seaside rentals, of course. Just a few minutes away, your Sandaya campsite in southern Brittany has a glamorous welcome in store for you. With a choice between traditional camping on a pitch or upmarket accommodation in a fully equipped mobile home, you've got choices fit for a king! Come and enjoy it all and find out about all our activities, which include outdoor sports, a water park with waterslides and other watersports, as well as free mini clubs for the kids!

Visit La Turballe as a family

The Guérande peninsula is the ideal holiday destination for the whole family! As well as feasting on pancakes and salted butter caramels, kids will turn into proper little sea dogs this summer. Head for La Turballe to get them learning!

You could start off with a bit of beach foraging on the Turballe coast. With crabs, mussels, cockles etc, your baskets will soon be overflowing! And after an obligatory stop-off in one of the town's restaurants, head for the harbour for a visit to the "Maison de la Pêche". This is a really fun museum for everyone to enjoy, and you'll emerge full of new information. Children will especially love the replica of the wheelhouse of a proper fishing boat!

Visit La Turballe as a couple

If you're visiting La Turballe as a couple, we've got just the excursion to turn your day into a truly unforgettable one! La Turballe is home in fact to a real, natural gem, which also has protected status: Pen Bron, a sandy peninsula between the ocean and the salt marshes. There is a cycle path enabling you to explore the length of this strip of sand dunes between the pine forest and the sea arm of Le Croisic. So get on that bike and take all those sights in!

As a seaside resort, La Turballe has 11 km of beaches waiting to be discovered or for a special bit of relaxation. At low tide, the beach of Ker Élisabeth to the north reveals little coves, which are just the things for an intimate picnic together!
