After your picnic, what better to aid digestion than a gentle stroll along the banks of the Traict du Rostu? To the north-east of Mesquer-Quimiac, this magical area sees its water withdraw completely at low tide, before freshwater and that of the ocean mingle once again. Admiring the hundreds of migrating birds who also appreciate this haven of tranquillity!

Visit Mesquer-Quimiac as a couple

Wherever you find yourselves along the Mesquer-Quimiac coast, the spectacle is always grandiose. But if there is one place that is even more magical and where romance is forever in the air, it’s the Merquel headland, the northernmost tip of Mesquer-Quimiac. Follow us!

Just opposite that of Pen Bé, there’s no doubt that the Merquel headland offers the most beautiful viewpoint to gaze out over the ocean, on a clear day you can just make out Quiberon in the distance. Hand-in-hand, set off along the 10km circular walk that will take you to the pretty port of Kercabellec, then on through the heart of the Le Mès salt marshes before you finally reach the tip of the Merquel headland. With luck you’ll arrive just in time to admire the sunset over the ocean. Sublime!
