What will be on your list of must-see places in the Charente-Maritime? There are so many to choose from that we thought you'd appreciate a few pointers: for adventure-loving tribes, an outing to a tree-top adventure course or a day at La Palmyre Zoo will definitely be a hit. A visit to Royan or La Rochelle is bound to delight inquisitive visitors of all ages, and an excursion to the Île d'Oléron or a sea cruise will add an enjoyable romantic touch to lovebirds’ enchanting interludes. And that's just a few suggestions!

Stretching 1,300 km along the Atlantic coast from Brittany to the Basque Country, the Vélodyssée is a majestic cycle route. It has to be said, there’s nothing quite like pedalling along with your family or significant other by your side, and the ocean as your backdrop! Near the campsite, embark on the stretch between Marennes and Royan and let the sea breeze and pine-scented air guide you to the remarkable La Coubre lighthouse. Hop on your bikes and off you set!
