Our favourite corner? No question about it, it’s La Grande Maïre to the south of Portiragnes Plage, a vast protected natural area on the shores of the Mediterranean. A veritable mosaic of landscapes, this lagoon with its uncanny resemblance to the Camargue, offers an opportunity to watch horses, bulls and migratory birds by the hundred in the midst of its remarkable plant life. The perfect spot to play the apprentice naturalist!
