Another unmissable site to see with your youngsters is the Chauvet 2 Cave, home to 36,000-year-old cave paintings! Another activity that’s ideal for gourmet couples? A wine-tasting session, of course! Camping Aiguèze: our handy tips for a successful stay

Did you know? The name Aiguèze comes from the world “aqua”, which means water. Proof, if needed, that the invigorating river and the village are inseparable!

Make sure you take a stroll along the “Castelas”, the wall-walk at the foot of the fortress rock, offering a stunning view of the Ardèche, Mont Ventoux and its vineyards.

Hikers will be in their element because there are numerous trails criss-crossing the garrigue scrubland of the Gard, including the famous GR4 path which passes close to the village.

The treasures of the Ardèche can also be found on land. The La Madeleine cave and the vast Aven d’Orgnac site are just waiting to be explored, so embark on a fascinating journey into the depths of the Earth.
