Agde, the perfect holiday destination!
Between the fresh water lakes and the salt water of the Mediterranean, Agde is a popular destination for holidaymakers because there's so much to see and do! Everyone can create a programme to their liking: a visit to Fort de Brescou and the Ephebe museum, an outing to the Etang de Thau or a hike to Mont Saint-Loup are just some of the activities on offer.
The advantages of your Sandaya campsite? With its water park designed for baby swimmers and breaststroke professionals, its free children's clubs for all ages, its accommodation to suit all tastes and a host of activities from morning to night. And, the cherry on top: most have direct access to the sea!
Visit Agde with the family
What is the best way to discover Agde and the surrounding area with your little tribe? By bike, of course! Leave the car at the mobile home, climb on your steed and head for the 43 kilometres of cycle paths to be found in the surrounding area. Along the Canal du Midi, on the banks of the Hérault River or the beaches of Cap d'Agde, you will be able to admire a string of stunning views, all accompanied by the delicious aroma of the south.
For a moment of culture with the family, head for the Ephebe Museum, named after a bronze statue dating from the time of Alexander the Great. It is one of the priceless jewels of this museum which boasts France's finest collection of ancient bronzes recovered from the depths of the sea. An immersion into history that will delight young and old alike!
Visit Agde as a couple
For those in love with good sea legs, Agde and its cape provide the perfect playground for some watersports activities! Catamaran, kitesurfing, jet skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving, the options are as infinite as the waters of the Mediterranean. The choice may appear difficult at first, but remember that you're on holiday so you have the right (and even the obligation) to try as many activities as you want! What could be more romantic than a trip along the Canal du Midi? Lovebirds who are mariners at heart can hire a boat and become captain for a day on this journey along the water. Do you want to leave the commands to the professionals and simply sit back and enjoy the experience? Opt for a cruise lasting a few hours. In both cases, the beauty of the landscapes and the peaceful surroundings will ensure that your excursion is frozen in time so that you never forget it. |
